This way you can quickly review some vocab or grammar without getting both of them in 1 big review. The thing I also like a lot from Lingodeer is that you can do a mini quiz with only the vocab or grammar. This section will help you with some grammar like sentence structure and spacing. And even if you are still confused about something, there is a pretty decent chance you can find some explanation in the knowledge cards section. When you click on grammar words, you do not only see what their translation is, but also what they do. With Lingodeer they put some more thought into it. When you click on words in Duolingo, you see the translation for it, even with grammar. This replay function is present in a lot of questions in the app and is a very clever way to help yourself with the pronunciation. With the story reading you also get a story-speaking, it is the same as story-reading, but you can repeat the sentences they say and replay them back. But sadly there are some moments where you get words that you haven't seen before which can be quite confusing at times. You also get the option to do story-reading which is pretty nice, you get a small conversation in this where there are some question in between. This way of learning grammar and vocab at the same time is really nice and is not too overwhelming to the learner, just don't do too many exercises on the same day as it will overwhelm you at some point. For example, it teaches you the words for objects together with demonstratives and the word "것" that is used together with both of them. It teaches you simple grammar with simple words to immediately let you make your own sentences if you know the vocab to make them.

Lingodeer fixes these things, and I am very happy with it. Like, why do I need to know the word ice cream when I don't even know simple grammar. Duolingo is also not the best at teaching vocabulary, you learn random words that do not help you understand the language. I felt like I had to constantly google why certain things were some way, and it became very frustrating quickly. Maybe Duolingo is better with western languages, but for the Asian languages it is a terrible app to learn grammar from. I used Duolingo before Lingodeer and I have to say that Lingodeer is MUCH better. I recently started using Lingodeer to learn Korean and I want to make a quick review if someone is looking at reviews.
